Goddess of the Sun.
The sun embodies power and strength, a symbol of courage and confidence.
OUR FOUNDER’S NOTES
Growing up in the U.S. and Colombia, I have been determined to remain connected to my cultural background and heritage. Where colonization erased traces of my background, modernity and science have allowed me to reconnect with my indigenous roots.
In honor of very similar goldsmith works foundinside the Gold Museum in Bogotá,we designed earrings that encapsulate the shape and texture of the sun.
As with many indigenous religions around the world, the sun is an important deity to manytribes and nations living in pre-colonization Colombia. It's asymbol of power and courage.
In this spirit, we made sure these earringsshowcased the texture of the sun’s curves and rays through the use of concentric circles.
Theyare also castedin matted gold, a signature characteristicof jewelry in the Americas from this period.
These earrings are the perfect crossroads between modernity, elegance, and heritage.
We wear them all the time, be that to important business meetings, on the weekend, or on vacation. They go perfectly with a crisp button-downblouseor a pair of jeans.
They have an interesting duality as they can make a statement, if you choose to wear them as such, or they can hide if you choose to be more minimalist.
